MIC RP #003a: State Visit To Cslymy

Over the next three days, the first phase of negotiations to form an economic trade block will occur as delegates, politicians and bureaucrats from Yrsaland and the UWR tour Cslymy.

The Yrsk envoy consists of 11 members - Prinz Kristoffer Eriksson, 4 representatives from the Yrsk Landisk Volks Partei, the leading political party of Yrsaland (YLVP), Rejksvjersteman Jorgen Gunnarsson, Treasurer Anna Asbjornsskan, the CEO and CTO of Yrsaland's largest technology company, SKALAR Inc., the Yrsk Minister of Industry, Sigmund Svardsmed, and the Yrskmarshall Stefan Jarleborne.

Welcome all to Cslymy! The Cooperative States greatly looked forward for the upcoming economic cooperation with all of you. Tonight we have gathered in the Royal Palace of Bukharo, which holds significant cultural meaning for all Lymyians. The Bukharo State is located in the western half of Cslymy, the founding place and former capital of the Lymyian empire (507A.D.-1918A.D.)Currently it is the technological and scientific heart of Cslymy, where y'all have toured the many state-of-the-art facilities and technology major Cslymyian firms have, as well as their efficiency.
Let me sum up what has past.
Yesterday the esteemed delegates of UWR and Yrsaland landed in Baru Lymy, the capital, and visited the coastal cities of Ryukyu, and the islands of Okioto and Pyongnam, with the booming trout industry sector. The city of Luojing was also visited to explore it's industrial potential.
After this dinner, the esteemed delegates will visit the major sites in Samarkand, the western coastal city which is a major economic hub and port for the Norderon countries, as the Cslymyian government has linked it to the Sea of Torderos, through a canal and many highways. This will be the route you shall take to return to Baru Lymy, in the East, for the official dinner ceremony to end this state visit at the Presidential Istana.

"Thank you very much for hosting us for these three days. I believe it is high time for us to begin discussing the terms of our trade union. Now, trade tariffs are a huge source of income for our governments, but ultimately hinder the amount of trade that occurs. I believe that the first major deal we should implement is the abolition of all trade tariffs between members of this economic community. While we may lose some income from this, our nations are all more than advanced enough to deal with the deficit. Samarkand is of particular interest to the Yrsk, as it is the largest post of Csylmy easily available to us. As a result, I propose the creation of a specialised trade route between Samarkand and the Yrsk city of Hindervikhavn, which is the gateway from the centre of Norderon to the rest of Yrsaland. I propose that Yrsaland and Cslymy delegate a small portion of their navies in order to protect this route from malevolent powers."

I fully agree that some tariffs should definitely be abolished. However, I belief that we should take it slow, and only abolish the tariffs of targeted industries.
Samarkand has huge potential for Yrsaland, as it connects it easily with Eastern Toderos and Western Aurealis, as the northern routes are largely frozen. Maybe we could look into expanding spheres of influence to deal with the pirate threat?
